Four steps to your unified library.
Today you can do steps 1 and 2 from the web. Step 3 ships when the desktop app does. Step 4 is the whole point.
Create a Tavern account
Email, password, optional display name. Argon2id-hashed password, sliding session, email verification — same auth model any modern app should have. Free, forever, no payment required.
Lives at tavernhq.net/signup today. The web account exists before the desktop app does, so you can link launchers and reserve your handle now.
Link your launchers
From /account, click Link Steam — you'll be sent to Steam's normal sign-in page, approve, and you're back. Other launchers (Epic, GOG, Ubisoft, EA, Battle.net, Microsoft) get a 'Notify me when this opens' button — we'll email you the moment each one comes online.
We never see your launcher password. Steam uses OpenID; the others (when they ship) use OAuth. The credentials never touch our servers.
Install Tavern Desktop
When Phase 2 ships, you'll grab the Windows .msi from /download. Run it, sign in once with your Tavern account, and every launcher you linked on the web flows in instantly. No re-typing, no re-authing per launcher.
Tauri + Rust under the hood — small download, native performance, no Electron-bloat. Auto-updates over Cloudflare.
Open one library, find every game
Your unified library lives in Tavern Desktop. Search by title, tag, genre, mood, last-played. Cover art is edge-cached so it loads instantly. Click any game — Tavern asks the right launcher to open it. Steam library and Epic library aren't fighting for your attention anymore.
Phase 4 adds family-aware filtering, friend presence across launchers, and the co-op finder ('what can I and my brother play together right now?').
Start at step one.
The desktop app is still in active development — but the account, the Steam link, and the catalog are all live. Get set up now and the moment the .msi is ready, you're already a step ahead.
